Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of recent home health experience and current BLS certification for a day shift home health assignment.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering 13 counties
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Call required one Sunday every five weeks
• Weekend coverage required every fifth week, with weekdays off in exchange
• Travel may include assignments to distant areas, with fewer patient visits when travel time is high
• Uses Epic for charting, with prior experience preferred
• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, and providing care in home environments
• Staff take weekly turns in visiting the furthest counties
• Orientation includes completion of online modules
• Black, grey, or khaki pants with polo or scrub top required; no print clothing allowed
• Travel experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Minimum one year of recent home health physical therapy experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Local candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel pay
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
