Job Description

Float Pool RNs are needed to float between MedSurg/Tele and Stepdown units. The MedSurg units include private beds and focus on various patient needs including post-surgical recovery, orthopedic care, and palliative treatments. The Stepdown unit requires RNs who are capable of managing more complex cases including cardiac dysrhythmias and CVAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on MedSurg and Stepdown units.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including charge nurses and nurse managers.
• Manage patient assignments and assist with float responsibilities as needed.
• Handle a variety of medical conditions based on unit assignments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification may be required for Stepdown unit.
• Previous experience in MedSurg and/or Tele nursing preferred.
