Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position on 12-hour night shifts with supervisory floating and weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Assignment is 13 weeks with 12-hour night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, totaling 36 hours per week
• Floating is required to serve as house supervisor as needed, primarily on weekends
• Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), use of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required
• Every other weekend and every other holiday shifts are required
• Main responsibilities include emergency room care and training in the house supervisor role for weekend coverage
• Barcode scanning compliance of 95% or greater required for contract extension eligibility
• Holiday RTO is limited; only one holiday RTO will be accepted if multiple holidays occur during the assignment
• Orientation includes required modules, completed during paid orientation hours
• Must have at least two references submitted, including one from a supervisor
• Returning travelers must have a one-year break after working for one year at this facility

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 5 years of emergency department nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Preferred: NIHSS, TNCC, and charge or house supervisory experience
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Must not reside within a 60 mile radius of the facility
