Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night and Day shifts with a 4x12-hour rotation (19:00 - 07:00 / 07:00 - 19:00). Must be available for holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an emergency setting, utilizing strong clinical skills and knowledge in various emergency diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatments according to protocols.
• Manage IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Provide care for patients undergoing procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood product administration.
• Utilize advanced respiratory management for patients, including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients.
• Conduct triage and manage patients with neurological emergencies, including CVA and neuro-trauma.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, providing emergency interventions as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Nursing License.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an Emergency Room setting.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, with PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy, with arterial line management preferred.
