Job Description

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services in an acute care emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of CT scans on a Siemens scanner, including routine emergency department patients and trauma cases. The position requires proficiency in multiple CT procedures and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Administer and prepare contrast media as required for various imaging studies.
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are adhered to during imaging procedures.
• Conduct biopsies, aspirations, and advanced CT studies (e.g., CTAs).
• Utilize image display and post-processing technologies for optimal imaging results.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient management and care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma center with a 500-bed capacity.
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS.
• Experience with Siemens and GE scanners is a must.
• Strong skills in CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, and chest scans.
