Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer traveler to assist our Cardiology Team at our main campus. The Echocardiographer (Echo Tech) will work with the practice team to support patient care in the hospital/office setting under the supervision and direction of Practice Providers and the Cardiology Team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and address their questions.
• Obtain high-quality imaging and assist physicians in interpreting the data.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of records and provide patient care in accordance with hospital standards.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography.
• Provide patient and caregiver education while acting as an advocate for patient care.
• Maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography practices as established by credentialing organizations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service as part of the care team.
• Organize exam rooms and assist with inventory and quality monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Proficiency in Adult Echocardiography, including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred; registry required within 1 year of employment.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) certification.
