Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT/Radiology Technologist for dual modality imaging on weekend night shifts with ARRT (R)(CT) and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-volume hospital with 182 licensed beds and Level IV Trauma designation
• Dual modality CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Handles a wide range of patient diagnoses and acuity levels
• Average of 325 patients per day across imaging modalities
• Night shift schedule: Thursday through Saturday, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• This is a weekend position, with all weekends scheduled
• Schedule cycle renews every 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage required for 75% of holidays
• Uses Siemens and GE imaging equipment
• EPIC is used for EMR/documentation; previous experience with EPIC preferred
• Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the assigned unit
• Free parking provided
• Responsible for performing both CT and diagnostic radiology procedures as required per modality
• Orientation includes online courses and 3-5 days of departmental training based on modality
• Support available from nursing and patient transport departments
• Department fosters a culture of teamwork and accountability for patient-centered care
• Black scrubs required
• First-time travelers are accepted for consideration
• Call and weekend requirements may vary by modality and are discussed during interview
• All requests for time off must be approved by the manager

Requirements

• Active ARRT (R)(CT) certification and current BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in diagnostic radiology and CT imaging
• Experience performing imaging in hospital settings including ED, inpatient, and outpatient
• Must provide photo ID during compliance process
• License required if applicable
• Skills checklist relevant to CT and radiology must be completed
• Must provide a professional reference from leadership within the last year
