Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care ICU position requiring floating to med/surg or step-down units and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital ICU with 39 beds divided across three locations
• Patient population includes high acuity and trauma level 1 cases
• Primary assignment is ICU/Critical Care with required floating to med/surg or step-down units as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:2, with some 1:1 for higher acuity and 1:3 during overflow
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts with every other weekend required
• Must be available to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• General nursing orientation, competency testing, EMR training, and department-specific preceptor shifts provided
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All nurses must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates who have previously worked at Sanford Health must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Candidates within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• Team-based environment with training and support based on assessment of individual need

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to float to med/surg and step-down units required
