Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,000 (based on experience)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract with one of our top healthcare partners in Lawrenceville, Georgia . This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join a respected medical facility, contribute to a high-performing imaging team, and make a real difference in patient care.
Position Overview:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform all nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare, calculate, and administer appropriate doses of radiopharmaceuticals.
Operate gamma cameras and other imaging equipment to capture functional images of organs and tissues.
Evaluate image quality and assist radiologists in interpretation by providing accurate and complete imaging data.
Maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
Accurately document patient information, exam details, and dosage records.
Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures clearly, and provide compassionate care throughout exams.
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient workflow.
Maintain equipment and monitor quality assurance controls.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine experience
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current certification or eligibility for certification by NMTCB or ARRT (N)
Preferred:
- Experience in both hospital and outpatient imaging environments
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
