Travel MRI Technician - Wausau, WI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Compensation: Up to $3,300 per week (based on experience)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel MRI Technician to join one of our trusted hospital partners in Wausau, Wisconsin . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI technologist to deliver exceptional patient care in a high-quality imaging environment while enjoying all that Central Wisconsin has to offer.
Position Overview:
The Travel MRI Technician will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture detailed images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and able to adapt to varying shift schedules.
Shift Requirements:
• Varied start times, 4x10-hour shifts (Days/PMs)
• Every 4th weekend rotation - alternating between working shifts and on-call status
• Every other holiday rotation required
• On-call every 3rd weekend (Friday-Sunday)
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
• Screen patients for contraindications to MRI procedures
• Operate MRI equipment efficiently and troubleshoot technical issues as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to achieve optimal imaging results
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records within the Epic EMR system
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and radiation protection standards
• Provide compassionate and professional care to all patients
Education & Certification Requirements:
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years MRI experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
