Travel Computed Tomography Physicist - Concord, North Carolina
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $6,000 (based on experience)
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Computed Tomography (CT) Physicist to join one of our respected healthcare partners in Concord, North Carolina . This opportunity is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong oncology background and a passion for precision in medical imaging and radiation therapy.
Job Description

Perform quality assurance (QA) on radiation therapy and CT equipment in accordance with state and federal regulations
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance to ensure consistent accuracy and performance
Perform and oversee delivery of non-standard, standard, and complex treatment planning and techniques , including HDR, LDR, SRS, and SBRT
Execute radiation surveys of treatment rooms and ensure compliance with safety standards
Calibrate therapy machines and measure instruments against national standards
Measure therapy beam data for treatment planning purposes and maintain meticulous QA documentation
Work with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and Philips CT imaging systems
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to ensure optimal patient care
Ensure all guided radiation therapy processes, IT/chart checks , and QA procedures meet clinical standards

Education and Certification Requirements

Master's or Doctorate degree in Medical Physics or a related field from an accredited institution
CMP (Certified Medical Physicist - Therapy) certification through the American Board of Radiology (ABR) required
Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
Oncology experience required

Skills and Experience

Strong background in radiation oncology physics
Proficient in machine QA, calibration, and maintenance
Knowledge of Varian TrueBeam systems and Philips CT scanners
Familiarity with guided radiation therapy , IT/chart checks , and QA protocols
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills

Schedule

8-hour shifts
No weekends
No on-call responsibilities
