Job Description

The position is within the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit, focusing primarily on patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, as well as overflow medical cardiology patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to post-operative cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients.
• Manage a variety of clinical tasks including but not limited to epidural management, chest tube management, and IV medication administration.
• Monitor and assess patient progress and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Preferred: Experience with cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery populations.
