Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in inpatient psychiatric care to join our multidisciplinary team. The role includes working closely with patients who require complex nursing care in a supportive environment focused on recovery from co-occurring psychiatric disorders and substance abuse.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to address the individual and group needs of patients.
• Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
• Participate in the Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program, focusing on promoting healing and continued recovery for patients.
• Assist with medically supervised drug and alcohol withdrawal and stabilization.
• Facilitate educational interventions to support strong and successful recovery outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with recent inpatient psychiatric experience (within the last 3 months).
• Psych/Behavioral Health experience with specific populations must be included on the resume.
• Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts as necessary.
• CPI certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not currently active.
• Active state licensure must be confirmed along with eligibility to obtain a Vermont license.
