Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a dedicated Tooling Specialist to join their team. As a Tooling Specialist, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Tooling Specialist

Location: Lakeville, CT

Pay Range: $30-40

Shift: 1st

What's the Job?

• Design, repair, construct, modify, and perform maintenance on manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to troubleshoot and repair intricate tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support tooling needs and updates.
• Conduct tool tryouts, detect issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation including tooling PM sheets and process logs.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in mold repair or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of hot manifold systems highly recommended.
• Proficiency with equipment such as lathes, milling machines, EDM machines, and other toolroom machinery.
• Ability to work from SolidWorks CAD, read blueprints, and interpret engineering sketches.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with decision-making capabilities.
