Job Responsibilities

PURPOSE: Design, build, rework, maintain, repair and troubleshoot various tooling including dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and molds.

• Manage and complete projects efficiently by designated due dates.
• Collaborate with QA, production, R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance to deliver effective solutions.
• Document all tool modifications, repairs, preventative maintenance, and work performed promptly.
• Maintain and occasionally purchase necessary components for tool builds or repairs.
• Establish repeatable setups and work within tolerances of +/-.0002" regularly.
• Coordinate work through various auxiliary work centers and equipment as necessary.
• Provide assistance to operators and maintenance on machine or processing issues as needed.
• Ensure quality of work by adhering to standard machining practices and utilizing measurement equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and mentor apprentices on best practices.
• Follow all specifications and comply with relevant standards without exception.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Company's 2025 Strategy.

Job Requirements

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of an accredited Mold Maker or Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Pass a skills assessment test for this position.
• Proficient in operating common machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
• Ability to work as a team lead and member depending on workload demands.
• Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations as well as company rules related to safety and environment.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solid mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and work from design prints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Moderate hand dexterity and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Possession of basic inspection and machining tools to perform job duties effectively.
• Willingness to work second shift, overtime, and weekends as necessary.

Selected candidate's Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based upon qualifications and experiences.
