Join a 13-week travel Occupational Therapist (OT) assignment in Titusville, FL, with 8-hour day shifts in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). Titusville, located on Floridas Space Coast, offers close proximity to the Kennedy Space Center, Canaveral National Seashore, and Playalinda Beach. Enjoy dining, shopping, and cultural experiences in downtown Titusville, as well as outdoor adventures like fishing, birding, and exploring the beautiful natural scenery along the Indian River.As an OT, you will help residents regain and maintain independence in daily activities. Responsibilities include assessing physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop tailored treatment plans. You will evaluate how residents perform tasks such as bathing, dressing, transferring, and managing medications. Additionally, you will assess cognitive functions like memory, attention, and reasoning, and address emotional well-being to identify barriers to participation. You will teach residents new ways to perform daily activities, recommend assistive devices, and suggest environmental modifications for safety. OTs support community re-engagement, educate caregivers and family members on adaptive strategies, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans.
