The Opportunity:

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software developmentand that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a Test Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with cloud developers, cloud architects, and web developers to evaluate software. You'll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automated and manual processes to streamline, you'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.

This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test. You'll also broaden your experience with cloud application and database development and gain skills in new areas such as test plan development, test automation, and test reporting for functional development assessments while sharing your testing experience with your team.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience planning and conducting cloud application test activities
• Experience with GitLab, Kubernetes, Python, Test Automation, DoD software test requirements and SDLC, STLC, and Scrum and Agile methodologies
• Experience leading the development of software and cloud test plans and test reports and conducting test activities
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with DoDI 5000.89, MIL-STD-2167A, and MIL-STD-498
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and test engineering and estimation
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Cloud Solutions Architect or DevOps Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
