Technician

Multicraft Technician (Maintenance)

Shift: 7am-3pm (M-F), requires every other weekend work.

Pay: $32 - $35/hr, based on experience

Location: 1290 Campground Road, Lancaster, OH 43130

The Opportunity:

Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systems
• Work on motors, and conveyors, AC/DC, etc
• Will work with steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drives
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance activities
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Complete timely and accurate paperwork

What you need to succeed:

• Strong mechanical aptitude required with extensive troubleshooting experience
• Electrical and PLC knowledge (troubleshooting) preferred
• Experience with troubleshooting in a production/manufacturing environment
• An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems
• Ability to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives
• Able to install and troubleshoot basic 3 phase motor control circuits
• Knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches
• A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
• Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
• Ability to work weekends & overtime
• Basic mathematical skills and basic technology/computer skills
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; military training and/or technical school preferred
• Corrugated background is a plus, but not required

The starting rate is $32 - $35 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.
