The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to clients in the financial sector, including hedge funds and venture capital firms. The role requires a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and the ability to navigate complex tax regulations.

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic Financial Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to clients in the financial sector, including hedge funds and venture capital firms. The role requires a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and the ability to navigate complex tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for financial services clients, including hedge funds and venture capital firms.
- Provide tax consulting and compliance services to clients, ensuring adherence to current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance financial performance for clients.
- Collaborate with client management to gather information and understand their unique tax situations and needs.
- Research and analyze tax issues, providing expert guidance and support to clients and team members.
- Monitor tax law changes and assess their implications for clients in the financial services sector.
- Mentor and train junior staff members on tax compliance and accounting practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within financial services.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations affecting hedge funds and venture capital.
- CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
