As NASA's largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States, we have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer for Gateway Halo (Skillbridge Conversion) to join our team supporting NASA JSC Engineering's EX5 Branch.

As a Systems Engineer for Gateway Halo (Skillbridge Conversion) you will:

• Provide support to the HALO Corrosion Test Team.
• Provide Risk Management Support for Gateway.
• Develop concepts and define future human space exploration vehicles and missions.
• Work in a team environment.
• Report to the team lead to provide status on progress, issues and requests for support.
• Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer, other NASA support contractors and the Gateway Halo team.
• Provide coordinated support between engineering and other organizations/programs
• Perform other duties as required.

Requisition Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experience in systems engineering including knowledge of MBSE and MagicDraw and associated documentation.
• Experience collecting/understanding stakeholder needs.
• Knowledge of chemical engineering and corrosion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) is required.
• Possess JAMA requirement and verification expertise.
• Enthusiastic, self-starter who can understand and absorb new concepts quickly.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
• Ability to prepare written documents/presentations and to verbally present at various meetings.
• Ability to collaborate/coordinate across diverse groups.
• Keen interest in working for NASA and advancing NASA's mission.

Requisition Preferences:

• Previous experience working with NASA especially across multiple NASA centers and programs.
• Basic familiarity with human space exploration systems.
• SharePoint experience a great benefit.
• Knowledge of NASA

Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time). Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance following an established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust the schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
