We are seeking a dedicated Survey Party Chief with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team for CT Projects. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in field procedures, boundary and topographic surveys, land records research, and proficiency in using Robotic Instruments and GPS operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveys of municipal infrastructure such as building and facility sites, open land, development sites, roadways, bridges, streetscapes, residential and commercial developments, and construction sites in urban and suburban areas.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience leading a crew of surveyors
• Proficiency in Boundary and Topographic Surveys, Hydrologic Surveys, As-built Surveys, Stakeout for Construction, and Land Records Research
• Experience with Robotic Instruments
• Strong problem-solving abilities in both field and office environments
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team, staff, and clients

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Leica Total Stations
• Familiarity with Carlson Data Collectors, AutoCAD, GPS, and Microstation

Work Environment

Our work environment is family-oriented and focused on employee success and growth. We provide company cars for travel, with mileage reimbursement if personal vehicles are used. We support employees in obtaining their surveying licenses, covering all classes, testing fees, and yearly renewals. The company operates from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the surveying team typically working over 40 hours, including overtime. Employees earn 1 week of PTO and enjoy paid holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
