The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $32.25, depending on experience.

In this pivotal role, you will assist both the physician and nursing staff in the Operating Room and Clinic by providing vital support during procedures and patient care.

• Efficiently prepare the Operating Room for surgical procedures, including organizing instruments and equipment, and setting up for emergency cases.
• Assist the surgeon as the first or second scrub person during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile field and maintaining instrument efficiency.
• Work with the circulating nurse to account for all instruments, needles, and sponges involved in surgery.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of all OR machinery and equipment, including lasers and scope equipment.
• Verify and receive correct surgical implants for procedures, such as grafts and orthopedic hardware.
• Contribute to the training and orientation of new staff and students.
• Assist with patient transport to the O.R. as needed.
• Conduct decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes in accordance with Infection Control guidelines.
• Operate sterilization equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with manufacturer instructions.
• Utilize desktop and laptop computers for instrument decontamination, assembly, and tracking functions.

The ideal candidate will be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function effectively, ensuring the ability to communicate clearly, hear instructions, and maintain visual acuity.

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.

• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) certification upon hire.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
