Surgical Technologist - Labor & Delivery

Location: UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital, Longmont, CO

Department: LPH Birthing Center

FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Day and Night Rotation

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is based on the applicant's relevant experience.

As a Surgical Technologist in our Labor & Delivery Birth Center, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and efficient surgical procedures. Your expertise and dedication will directly impact the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure all equipment and instruments are in good working order.
• Assist in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies throughout the procedure.
• Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

You will need critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED, or Military training.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
• Minimum of 6 months Surgical Tech experience or a graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid before your start date.
