Join our dynamic team as a Surgical Technologist II and play a vital role in providing exceptional surgical care to our patients. In this position, you'll work under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN) and a surgeon to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment. As an essential member of the surgical team, your responsibilities will include maintaining a sterile field, preparing the operating room, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms and assist with patient positioning as needed.
- Inspect and ensure all sterile items are free from contamination before use.
- Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and needles, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program (CST).
- NYS LPN also acceptable.
- 1 to 3 years of scrubbing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with various specialty services preferred.
