Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist with a specialization in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in assisting surgeons during intricate cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring a well-prepared, sterile operating environment for optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterilized and readily available for cardiovascular procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by efficiently passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain an impeccable sterile field throughout the surgery, strictly adhering to infection control protocols.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of surgical supplies, ensuring timely restocking for upcoming procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to anticipate needs during operations and respond promptly to any emergencies or complications.
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation before surgery commences.
- Document surgical procedures meticulously and ensure proper handling of instruments post-operation for cleaning and sterilization.
Work Environment:
- Work in hospitals or specialized cardiovascular operating rooms equipped with the latest surgical technology.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members in high-pressure situations where precision is vital.
