Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our surgical team. The Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and assisting surgeons during procedures to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment before, during, and after procedures

Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment

Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures

Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries

Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens

Monitor patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols

Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care

Maintain cleanliness and organization of operating room and equipment

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures

Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move heavy equipment when necessary

Preferred Qualifica tions

Prior experience in a surgical or clinical setting

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Certifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or equivalent (preferred or required depending on state or facility)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Education: High School
Certification: Basic Life Support , Certified Surgical Technologist
