Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead who is proficient in Java Spring Boot, API & Microservices architecture, and cloud-native development (GKE/Kubernetes). The ideal candidate will lead the design and delivery of scalable platforms while ensuring security, compliance, and adherence to enterprise standards. A strong background in integrating industrial and operational technology with enterprise systems is a bonus, enabling seamless collaboration between IT and OT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership
  • Lead a dedicated team in designing and deploying scalable enterprise applications.
  • Define and enforce architectural patterns and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers and architects to convert business needs into technical solutions.
• Full Stack Engineering
  • Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and a Microservices architecture.
  • Create RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a focus on security and scalability.
  • Contribute to front-end integration using frameworks like React or Angular as needed.
• Cloud & Platform Engineering
  • Manage workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and develop cloud-native solutions.
  • Implement containerized applications, automated deployment pipelines, and GitOps workflows.
• Integration & Event-Driven Architecture
  • Design and implement integration with third-party APIs and operational technology systems.
  • Create event-driven solutions utilizing Kafka or similar technologies.
  • Ensure solutions are secure and resilient, supporting high availability.
• Identity & Security
  • Manage authentication and authorization processes using Okta.
  • Establish and promote application security best practices and compliance standards.
• Mentorship & Collaboration
  • Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product teams, to ensure smooth transitions and deliveries.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a Technical Lead role.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes, preferably GKE.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with integration design patterns and external APIs.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
• Expertise in identity management using Okta.
• Background with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and system design skills.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with observability tools.
• Knowledge of PLCs and integration with industrial systems is a plus.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Pharma, Finance, or Manufacturing is preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $123,400 - $176,300
