Silgan Closures, a global leader in sustainable packaging, is hiring a Production Supervisor in Champaign, IL to support and manage union employees at our fast-paced manufacturing facility. If you have experience as a production supervisor, manufacturing supervisor, or shift supervisor, this is your chance to grow your career with an industry leader.

• Salary range $65,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience
• 12-hour rotating schedule

What you will do:

• Learn the process of producing closures by training in all areas of production
• Supervise production employees, ensuring product quality and compliance with safety standards
• Apply and enforce written safety procedures and monitor work areas for compliance
• Use SPC tools and quality methods such as diagrams, flowcharts, run charts, control charts and testing methods
• Drive productivity by managing equipment, enforcing SOP's and maintaining production standards
• Develop, mentor and supervisor employees to ensure performance and growth
• Direct and assign work, administer labor contracts and foster a positive workplace culture
• Communicate effectively to maintain a safe, efficient and successful manufacturing culture
