Sub Team Player

Sub Team Players are responsible for submitting a Sub Availability Form upon hire and completing a new form at least seven days in advance if their availability changes. They must maintain reasonable communication with club management and reply within 24 hours to accept or deny a work shift offered. During their assigned work shifts, they are expected to perform to their best abilities, monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere, stay proficient in Planet Fitness mobile app use, content, and updates, and ensure that all proper training has been completed to operate safely and efficiently. They are also responsible for conducting regular audits to ensure the club is presentable and holding up to Excel standards, performing club walkarounds and completing assigned cleaning or associated tasks, auditing and balancing cash drawers daily, properly inputting and updating prospective and current member information into tablets and point of sale, ensuring members adhere to the companys policies and guidelines, providing a safe and secure environment for all members, communicating with members and creating a high level of member service, stocking retail and janitorial items for the following shift, understanding and adhering to company standards, helping resolve any day-to-day member issues, auditing club inventory and communicating with GM, AM, and Shift Lead on recommendations of inventory orders, staying up to date on all required certifications and training courses, participating in team meetings, communicating with, promoting, touring, and assisting prospects and potential members, assisting the GM and AM with club membership promotions, training, and implementation of any operational strategies, ensuring the club complies with all state and federal laws and insurance requirements, operating and assisting applicable members with the use of equipment, tanning, HydroMassage, Total Body Enhancement, and other amenities while making sure all applicable processes and procedures are adhered to, and assisting GM and representing our company at community events and other outreach activities.

Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR Certification and AED Certification, comfort standing for long periods of time, great communication skills with internal and external customers, being team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized, ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively, proficient ability in Microsoft Office and using a computer, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, and familiarity with Excels mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities and operates in a fitness club environment. The physical demands include regularly talking or hearing, frequently standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, frequently lifting and moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and moving objects up to 75 pounds, and specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This is a part-time, nonexempt position with a nonset schedule but assigned work shifts based on availability and business needs. Subs must work no less than 4 hours per month and no more than 20 hours per week. Employment may be terminated if the Sub has not met the minimum schedule requirements, has not actively worked within the last 60 calendar days, or has declined three consecutive work shifts that they indicated they would be available to work on their Sub Availability Form.
