This Shop Is Looking For a Senior Structural Steel Estimator With Deep Experience In Steel Fabrication And Erection - And They Offer a Highly Competitive Comp Plan

• $90,000-$120,000 DOE

• Analyze structural steel drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Develop take-offs for fabrication and erection of steel components
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure constructability and cost efficiency
• Prepare bid proposals and participate in pre-bid meetings
• Track historical cost data and maintain estimating database
  

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in structural steel estimating (fabrication and erection)
• Strong knowledge of AISC standards and steel construction practices
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Tekla EPM, Bluebeam, FabTrol, or similar)
• Familiarity with welding procedures, shop drawings, and field erection logistics
• Excellent math, communication, and organizational skills
