Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your primary responsibilities will include performing bank reconciliations, maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to cash transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Assist with other accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.
• Experience with month-end accounting procedures.
• Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
