Summary
Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI) procedures at a safe and experienced level without direct supervision. Orients, trains, and provides technical and administrative guidance to assigned personnel and department. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes.
Performs MRI procedures using prescribed techniques. Critiques and rescans images where necessary Performs various magnetic resonance imaging examinations to evaluate disorders of the head and neck, cardio-vascular system, genitourinary etc. utilizing knowledge of pathology and cross-sectional anatomy in the sagittal ,axial and coronal planes.Holds Technologists accountable for assigned duties; recommends staffing requirements based on productivity monitoring system, departmental statistics and other supervisory tools Orients and trains staff in job duties and departmental policies, procedures, provides technical guidance to staff regarding Ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, etc. Evaluates staff work performance in conjunction with Manager ; consults with Manager concerning disciplinary issues Takes initiative in problem solving, and makes timely and productive decisions Uses MRI injector for vascular studies using proper procedures Administers contrast medium for various MRI exams by successfully gaining intravenous access Meets with staff regularly Must be able to work with others in the unit and assist with patient, scheduling, follow-up, and to act as a liaison with referring physicians. Perform exam completion, screening/consent and paper scanning in a timely manner.
