We are seeking an experienced Sr Manager, Complex Sourcing to join our team and lead high-impact sourcing initiatives across a variety of indirect spend categories. Reporting to the Director, Complex Sourcing, this role is focused on delivering measurable value by managing complex sourcing projects, driving cost savings, and optimizing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies, strategies, and tactics, and a broad range of category experience, enabling deployment to any high-priority opportunity across MVW's spend.
Expected Contributions
Strategic Sourcing
- Support development and execution of end-to-end sourcing strategies for complex projects across indirect categories (e.g., IT, marketing, facilities, HR, professional services, etc.).
- Analyze spend data and identify opportunities to drive cost reduction, value creation, and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with business objectives.
- Develop category management value strategies, including demand management, supply management, and process & controls related opportunities
- Support supplier engagement, negotiation, selection, and contract development processes.
- Engage with strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and support mitigating risks by ensuring compliance with contractual terms and monitoring supplier performance metrics.
- Provide expertise across a wide range of indirect categories, ensuring deep knowledge of market trends, pricing structures, and supplier capabilities.
- Research and educate the broader sourcing team on market dynamics and identify innovative solutions to improve business outcomes.
- Support high complexity sourcing initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Engage with diverse business and cross-functional support teams and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and results.
- Conduct detailed spend analysis such as total cost of ownership modeling, should-cost modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies to enable leadership decision-making and quantify the impact of sourcing initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with demonstrated success in managing complex, high-value sourcing initiatives.
- Experience across multiple indirect spend categories, with a track record of delivering measurable value in highly complex sourcing initiatives.
- Expertise in sourcing methodologies, negotiation strategies, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or PMP).
- Direct experience with analyzing large data sets and data analytics solutions (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, JMP, SAS, SPSS, etc.)
- Experience with sourcing technologies such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua, Zycus, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with supplier diversity, sustainability, and ESG initiatives in sourcing strategies
