Responsibilities

Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals.

Qualifications

Experience: Experience in evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive and swallowing deficits preferred. Education: Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology required. Swallowing evaluation experience preferred. Licensure & Certification: Current Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure through the Minnesota Department Of Health.

American Speech and Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certification of Clinical Competency.

BLS Certification within 3 months of hire.

$59,537.92 - $89,356.80/ year Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
