Soldering Technician

We are seeking skilled Solder Technicians. This role involves crimping and soldering electrical harnesses, using hand tools to disassemble products, and preparing them for reassembly by skilled technicians. A solder test will be conducted during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Crimp and solder electrical harnesses.
• Use hand tools to disassemble products and prepare them for reassembly.
• Conduct soldering tests, soldering wires to bulkheads.
• Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deficiencies.
• Utilize mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to assemble electro/mechanical parts.
• Learn to bench test, environmentally test, and pressure test ILI tool sub-assemblies.
• Acquire skills in building, repairing, and maintaining TDW ILI Tool components.
• Implement approved safety procedures to ensure personal safety.
• Respond to customer requirements and address problem-solving aspects of tasks.
• Develop experience, skills, and competencies to become a TDW Systems Technician.

Essential Skills

• Proven soldering experience.
• Familiarity with IPC J-STD, 610, & 620 soldering standards.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience with surface mount technology and thru-hole soldering.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• IPC 610 & 620 certifications are a plus.
• Process-oriented and detail-oriented mindset.
• Experience is preferred over certification.

Work Environment

Work in a clean facility with a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, choosing between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
