Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Costa Mesa, CA Start Date: ASAP Duration: 36 weeks Schedule: 30 hours/week Pay Rate: $35/hour Setting: School-based

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will support licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students. Responsibilities include clinical support, educational activities, documentation, and treatment implementationall within the scope of care outlined by the supervising SLP and/or physician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans
• Support documentation and data collection for treatment progress
• Collaborate with the supervising SLP to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's degree from an SLPA program or bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
• Minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience (as required by state/contract)
• Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of California
• One year of prior SLPA experience preferred
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
