Position Overview: Supervises and oversees the day-to-day operations, staffing and staff coverage, overall staff performance to goals, staff and patient safety and services. Ensures consistent delivery of high-value, quality care to all patient populations served. Establishes work priorities and assists staff in resolving operational issues/problems. Implements and enforces adherence to department, affiliate, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and procedures, applicable regulatory standards, laws and regulations Identifies and implements cost savings and best practices, using Lean or other process improvement methods and concepts. Collaborates with others to coordinate services, streamline and standardize workflows and procedures, and/or drive positive outcomes.

Sutter Gould Medical Foundation is a not-for-profit health care organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care for our patients. Over 386 physicians in both primary and specialty practices provide outpatient services for residents in Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Merced County communities. With care centers in Modesto, Stockton and six other communities in the Central Valley, Sutter Gould is able to offer high quality medical care close to you and your family.

Job Description

Education:

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

Typical Experience:

• 5 years of recent relevant experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of medical office workflows and processes.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and care providers.
• Solid understanding of operations and workflows and how departments process/workflow impacts other flows or departments.
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable local, state, federal and other laws, regulations and requirements impacting department operations.
• Leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical and operational issues problems as guided by policies, and procedures, or guidance from leadership.
• Project planning, leading and implementation skills.
• Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.
• Demonstrates ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues.
• Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.

Pay Range is $37.68 to $56.52 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
