Sign Production Lead

Position Overview
In this role, you will lead the physical production of signs, ensuring high-quality standards, on-time delivery, and excellent customer service. This position requires experience in sign production and installation, with a focus on vinyl application, machine operation, and installation skills. Key Responsibilities

• Vinyl Application: Follow layouts and use techniques for vinyl application, from computer-cut vinyl to full-color graphic images on various substrates.
• Substrate Preparation: Cut, paint, laminate, and maintain substrates in readiness for vinyl application.
• Machine Operation: Operate and maintain printers and other production equipment; troubleshoot minor repairs as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct pre- and post-production quality checks, interpreting work orders for accuracy and consistency.
• Finishing Operations: Laminating, encapsulating, and mounting of printed graphics.
• Installations: Perform onsite installations, ensuring measurements, leveling, and secure application.
• Inventory and Materials Management: Monitor stock levels, report to management, and assist with unloading and storage.
• Customer and Team Communication: Communicate calmly and professionally, addressing issues and collaborating on solutions.
• Back-Up for Design and Sales: Assist the design team and front counter when necessary, promoting sales opportunities in line with our "Everybody Sells" culture.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sign production, including vinyl laying. 3M or Avery Dennison certification is a plus but not required.
• Skills: Proficient with power tools, measuring, centering, and safely securing signs. Able to assess risks and mitigate on-site challenges.
• Physical Ability: Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and apply vinyl accurately on large substrates.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Comfortable troubleshooting production and installation issues, excited to find creative solutions.
• Communication: Able to clearly communicate with team members and customers, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
