Job Details
As a Delivery Driver for ShopRite of Uniondale, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their groceries and other products in a timely and efficient manner. Your primary responsibility will be to transport goods from our store to customers' homes, providing a high level of customer service throughout the delivery process. You will be expected to navigate various routes, manage delivery schedules, and handle any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism. Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to 50 pounds.
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the local area and efficient route planning.
- Basic knowledge of grocery products and services.
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport groceries and other products to customers' homes.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring that items are handled with care.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures and payment transactions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe driving environment.
The required skills for this position include strong driving abilities and a commitment to safety, which are essential for navigating various routes and ensuring the safe delivery of products. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with customers, address their needs, and provide updates on delivery status.
