Job Summary
The Senior Reactor Operations Supervisor will engage in a combination of classroom instruction, simulator training, and on-the-job experience while in training to obtain an NRC License. The successful candidate will gain essential skills and knowledge to meet the qualifications for a Senior Reactor Operator License holder. Upon qualification, the candidate will be fully licensed by the NRC to supervise operations in the reactor control room.
Job Responsibilities
- Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained.
- Implement Emergency Operating Procedures to stabilize the plant during emergencies or abnormalities.
- Evaluate and respond to internal and external issues, findings, and requests.
- Oversee special projects assigned by Operations Director/Manager.
- Create, revise, and review Emergency and Abnormal Operating Procedures.
- Review design and license changes for procedure impact and perform applicable reviews.
- Conduct operability reviews during off-normal conditions.
- Assist in developing refueling sequences and ensure compatibility with shutdown operations.
- Guide operating shift personnel in performing plant duties, including standing watch on rotating 12-hour shifts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST) pre-employment tests.
- Completion of FLS Leadership Assessment.
- 1 year of Reactor Operator license experience or equivalent supervisory experience in a comparable facility.
- Alternatively, 1.5 years of relevant nuclear experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences, plus additional qualifying experience.
The position is located at Peach Bottom Station in Delta, PA.
