Senior Mep Practice Builder
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior MEP Practice Builder with a strong healthcare focus to expand our MEP practice in Florida!
Responsibilities
- Project management role in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities.
- Ability to oversee the MEP design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
- Proven design experience with comfort and MEP systems and related controls.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
- Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities.
- Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.
- Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
- Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
- Strong desire to grow and lead a MEP practice.
- Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor.
- The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of related experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Proven design experience with comfort and MEP systems and related controls.
- Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas.
- Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24.
- Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
- Ability to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
- Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
- Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.
