Senior Maintenance Tech ($28.07/hr)

Job Description

• Reads and understands all electrical diagrams and schematics for machinery used at the division.
• Understands and interprets electronic circuits and schematics.
• Makes circuit design changes on the job without assistance.
• Must have understanding of hydraulics, plumbing, and mechanically-operated equipment
• Must be able to pass welding certification with arc and wire welding, and show proficiency with cutting torch.
• Ability to fabricate and read blueprints
• Uses and makes repairs on all test equipment.
• Assists engineering in design and redesign on electrical controls
• Performs other plant duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Work requires high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Requires electrical/electronic knowledge required to trouble shoot, diagnose, balance, install, repair and rework the most complex equipment acquired within a minimum of three years’ experience.
• Must pass a hand’s on test, demonstrating the ability to perform as a Electrician “A” to read and understand electrical diagrams, schematics, and electronic circuits; make circuit design changes.
• Make repairs on test equipment.
• Understand the basics of hydraulics, plumbing and mechanical equipment.
• Maintenance level welding, torch cutting and fabricating.
• Understanding of basic HVAC Systems, Tools, and Equipment
• Completion of 2 years Trade School in related field, or 5 years equivalent training and experience.

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
