Senior Food & Drug Law Counsel – Partner-Track Opportunity | Washington, D.C. –
This Am Law firm seeks a seasoned Food & Drug Law Counsel/Senior Counsel to join its Washington, D.C. team. Lead high-impact regulatory and transactional work with FDA and USDA oversight in a supportive, nationally recognized practice.
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr
About the Role
This Am Law firm is looking for an experienced attorney with over six years of expertise in food law to join its expanding Health Care & Life Sciences practice in Washington, D.C. This position offers the chance to work at the forefront of food regulatory matters, providing counsel to major clients while enjoying a collegial environment known for transparency, mentorship, and balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex food law regulations and compliance strategies.
- Handle transactions and due diligence within the food and agriculture sectors.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
- Provide guidance on USDA regulatory requirements and enforcement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of six years of substantive food law experience.
- Direct experience with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
- Familiarity with USDA regulations preferred.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to at least one U.S. Bar.
- Strong analytical, research, and client communication skills.
