This position allows for mostly remote work, but candidates must reside in Pennsylvania for necessary local travel.

As a Senior Distribution Engineering Leader, you will:

• Lead the creation of comprehensive electrical distribution work packages; Engage in engineering design and analysis for projects, including Make Ready and capital/reliability designs.
• Oversee QAQC tasks within your team, ensuring quality reviews of designs before submission for client projects.
• Engage with clients to review engineering design packages and organize existing program work effectively.
• Analyze project scopes and maintain schedules to align with client priorities.
• Interact directly with clients as needed.
• Provide engineering support during construction phases, conducting post-construction reviews to verify adherence to engineering and construction standards.
• Navigate field engineering design requirements and coordinate with conflicting utilities, assisting with work permits, easements, and ROW applications.
• Work comfortably in both office and field settings, with occasional site visits to gather necessary data for work packages.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in electric distribution projects, either in a consulting capacity for electric utilities or directly with an electric utility.
• A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Experience in engineering design quality control.
• Familiarity with Pole Loading software (e.g., O-Calc, Pole Foreman) and distribution pole analysis.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license for anticipated customer-related travel (reimbursed at IRS-approved rates).
• Willingness to work in both field and office environments as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous QAQC experience.
• Experience in cost estimation and the development of a Bill of Materials (BOM).
• A track record of effective customer interaction.
• Proven experience with Make Ready projects for electric utilities.
• Prior leadership experience is a plus.
