Senior Director, Strategy

Overview

ADP is seeking a Senior Director, Strategy to be part of our Global Strategy Team. The successful candidate will partner closely with ADP executives to create and continually improve our overall Business Unit Strategy. This person will lead strategic initiatives focusing on growth opportunities and operational enhancements for the business. They will also work closely with ADP executives on ongoing execution of strategic initiatives. Location: Alpharetta, GA or Roseland, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and drive long-term strategies based on fact-based analyses, focusing on growth opportunities and operational initiatives for the BU portfolio.
• Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify opportunities and risks.
• Partner with SBS functions and businesses to build strategies and successfully implement solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience developing and evaluating strategies: identifying and framing issues, developing hypotheses, conducting market research and analyses to test key hypotheses, developing execution plans.
• 7+ years experience in a strategy consulting firm (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, Bain, PWC, Deloitte) or an internal Corporate Strategy role within a Fortune 500 company, at least at a team manager level.
• Preference for MBA and/or advanced degree.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, depending on business needs.
• Knowledge of the business services / enterprise software / human capital management market preferred.
• Comfort with reading and using financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Strong analytical skills (financial modeling, basic statistics, regression analyses).
• Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to independently tackle ambiguous problems, develop a framework, and formulate a hypothesis or solution.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
