Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Resilience

We are looking for experienced DevOps Engineers to play a pivotal role in our Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division.

In this role, you will lead diverse technology projects and manage a talented team focused on developing solutions that meet our regulatory needs. You will also have the opportunity to stay at the forefront of technology trends while mentoring your fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a skilled project team to create resilient cloud-based solutions using machine learning and microservices.
• Collaborate with product managers to develop robust systems that enhance customer financial empowerment.
• Utilize various programming languages including Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go.
• Work with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as CM tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years working with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience.
• 4+ years in scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby).
• 4+ years with technologies such as Apache Mesos, Marathon, or Apache Spark.
• Experience with build and deployment tools like Jenkins and Docker.
• 2+ years in deploying clustered web services and distributed database systems (Cassandra, ElasticSearch).
• Familiarity with Agile Development practices.

This position is based in Richmond, VA, with a salary range of $175,800 - $200,700. Capital One also offers performance-based incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being.
