Overview

What does Zenith Data Governance do?

Data Governance collaborates with Analytics, Engineering, and Technology Activation teams to design and enforce the processes and protocols used to effectively manage data across our digital ecosystem to ensure quality, consistency, and availability. We also work to understand key decision points so we can ensure the correct business logic is applied, documented, and executed. Once that data is mined, it is used to optimize campaigns and tell the stories that bring our clients closer to their marketing, helping them understand if they’re talking to the people they want, and if they’re doing it the right way.

What does a successful Senior Analyst look like?

We don’t all look the same, and we don’t expect you to, either. Familiarity with media analytics and data helps, especially digital media, but isn’t necessarily a requirement. Prior professional experience in a data related role is required

Responsibilities

What does a Data Governance Senior Analyst do day-to-day?

Senior Analysts support the foundation of the Data Governance and Analytics teams. They work closely with core Analytics teams to understand client media reporting requirements and processes. They also work with other cross functional teams and help implement standardized processes and protocols to enable efficient data management. They behave like Business Analysts who understand the business requirements and are able to produce clear documentation to facilitate automation of data processing. They are curious and demonstrate attention to detail, as well as problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree. Degree in a related field is a plus (i.e. STEM, Economics, MIS, BI, Marketing, etc.).

• 1-3 years of experience working with large data sets or conducting quantitative analysis.

• Strong communication skills. Ability to speak and write professionally. Ability and comfort with presenting work by phone or within small groups.

• Ability to communicate complex ideas to both external and internal clients.

• Strong organizational skills. Ability to track progress and next steps across multiple tasks and provide regular status updates to Team Leadership.

• Critical thinker and a self-starter. Comfortable with self-led trainings

• Experience with digital media and analytics tools (Ad Servers, Measurement Vendors, BI Software)

• Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Display Banners, Email, Contextual, and Social

• Knowledge of digital media metrics (Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, etc.).

• Ability to structure and manipulate large data sets to answer business questions. Familiarity with SQL, pivot tables, and Excel functions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• World-class customer service skills. Ability to service clients, partners and internal stakeholders by understanding their needs, translating those needs into creative solutions, and delivering on those solutions with diligence and a sense of urgency.

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge of digital marketing and advertising landscape and concepts.

• Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI.

• Proficiency of analytics tools and pulling data from relational databases (Google Analytics, MS Access)

• Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas).

• Knowledge of Python and other programming languages.

Compensation Range: $ 72,390 - $ 95,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
