Team Description: The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team plays a central role in realizing our AI vision. By collaborating closely with various partners across the organization, we are advancing the boundaries of science and AI engineering. Our proprietary solutions are vital to our business, providing rich value to millions of users. Our AI platforms empower teams across Capital One to integrate transformative AI in responsible and scalable manners.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, and product managers to launch AI-driven solutions that enhance workflows and customer interactions.
• Design and implement AI software components, including foundation model training, model inference, similarity search, model evaluation, and governance.
• Utilize advanced open-source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.
• Develop innovative LLM optimization techniques to enhance the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of large-scale AI systems.
• Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or related fields with at least 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience in AI and ML technologies.
• Minimum of 8 years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in deploying AI solutions on cloud infrastructures.
• Extensive experience in architecting and supporting complex AI systems.
• Proven capability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across multiple levels.
• Expertise in developing state-of-the-art AI algorithms using a range of programming languages.
• Dedication to continuously evolving with trends in AI research.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex AI concepts.
