Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Logistics Patrols in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Day Time Mon 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access to the premises.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or suspicious behavior within the facility.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a security-related presence.
• Assist in managing access control for vehicles and personnel entering or exiting the distribution facility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
