As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers, visitors, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing excellent customer service to anyone in need of assistance. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is essential. You will be expected to communicate clearly and act with professionalism at all times, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to reliability, teamwork, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or violations of site rules within the retail environment.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for patrons and staff.
• Complete required documentation and reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activities in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
